1. GIWG approaches are collaborative, person directed and individualized. We assist individuals in rediscovering skills and accessing the community resources needed to live successfully and with a self-identified quality of life. Clients are involved in the goal setting process.
2. GIWG ensures individuals learn strategies to reduce life interruptions through an increased understanding of wellness concepts; creating a wellness foundation; completing personal wellness and crisis plans; and gaining continued support.
3. GIWG will help support individuals reach their behavioral health goals through comprehensive care management; care coordination; health promotion; comprehensive transitional care; individual and family support; and referrals to community and social supports.
3. GIWG will assist with pre-employment training and assessment; job development placement; job coaching; benefits management; vocational training and counseling; and ongoing support services.
1. GIWG will identify the biological, environment, behavioral, and social causes and consequences of drug use and addiction across the lifespan.
2. GIWG will develop new and approved strategies to prevent drug use and its consequences.
3. GIWG will develop new and improved treatments to help clients with substance use disorders achieve and maintain a meaningful and sustained recovery.
4. GIWG will use the therapeutic relationship to assist the client in taking responsibility for their recovery.
5. Clients will cooperate with an evaluation by a physician for psychotropic medications.
6. Clients will learn to implement communication and problem-solving skills towards achieving goals as evidenced by their treatment plan.
7. Clients are expected to attend support groups (i.e., Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Recovery groups) per their treatment plan.
8. Clients will acquire the necessary behavioral and cognitive coping skills to maintain long-term sobriety from mood-altering substances of abuse.
9. Clients will establish and a sustained recovery program that is free from the use of all mood-altering substances unless prescribed and monitored by the physician.
10. GIWG will identify and address all relapse risks.

6. The client will be apart of creating a schedule to follow daily that would support their recovery mission.
7. GIWG will assess the client’s plan for post-discharge recovery and living situation and assist the client in modifying and strengthening their recovery plan as appropriate.
8. Clients will be able to verbalize a clear understanding of how the steps and the principles they embody apply to his or her use of substances, thoughts, behaviors, and other manifestations of addictions.
9. Clients will cooperate with an evaluation by a physician for psychotropic medications.
10. Clients will learn to implement communication and problem-solving skills towards achieving goals as evidenced by their treatment plan.
11. GIWG will identify and address all relapse risks.
